INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Graduate School admission boards across the nation look for a few key factors from the applicants that they want to accept. One of those criteria is leadership experience. Delta Omega Chi Medical Service Society offers our highly competitive INTERNSHIP PROGRAM as the opportunity to meet that need! When you become a DOC Officer Intern, you get a one of a kind inside look into how one of the largest pre-health organizations on campus functions! Through our internship program, you can build leadership skills necessary for any healthcare profession, and you become eligible to apply to be an official DOC Officer during the following academic year. Applications open at the beginning of every Fall and Spring semester along with details about the positions available.

Delta Omega Chi Medical Service Society's MENTORSHIP PROGRAM was established to help members become the most competitive applicants possible and to gain admissions into their intended graduate programs. The program's main objective is to help students build a strong foundation and put them on the right path towards reaching their professional goals while sharing realistic expectations and experiences.

After becoming a part of this program, you are placed into a group with a few students of the same pre-health path as you. Each group is assigned a mentor, and you get to work with that mentor one-on-one with whatever you may need, which includes schedule planning, test prep, general advice, etc. Your assigned mentor can also introduce you to another mentor that may have more experience with your specific topics of interests as well. The key to our mentorship program is that students receive the individualized time and attention they need to achieve their unique set of goals.

Our mentors are highly qualified individuals in their respective fields. These individuals have already experienced what you are currently going through or planning to go through, and they have done it successfully!

We filter out all the erroneous information and myths for you, so you get the most accurate and helpful details possible about your chosen profession. We try to learn about you and help you make the best decisions based on your situation, taking into consideration your major, job, or courses you've taken thus far. Applications open at the beginning of the academic year, so take advantage of this program to obtain guidance for your professional objectives and make lifelong friends in the process!
